Essosolim Apollinaire Abi

CO-FOUNDER AND DATA SCIENCE LEAD

Apollinaire is a mathematician and data scientist researching how new technologies translate into real-world impact in developing countries. He is currently a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Chicago while pursuing an MS in Computational Analysis and Public Policy. His work focuses on gaps between technology access and effective use in Africa, as well as the relationship between artificial intelligence and deaths of despair. His technical work draws on Python, R, and Stata for econometric analysis, machine learning, and data engineering.

Apollinaire earned a BS in Mathematics along with a postgraduate diploma in Economics and Computer Science from Ashoka University in India. He also completed training in Entrepreneurial Leadership at the African Leadership Academy in South Africa.
